Upromise Shopping Terms & Conditions

  • You will only receive cash back from eligible online purchases through Upromise when you shop through the links on the Upromise website or in Upromise emails.
  • You will only receive cash back from eligible in-store purchases by registering your credit or debit card through the Upromise website ("Registered Card") or Upromise Credit Card and using your Registered Card or Upromise Credit Card when you shop at a participating in-store retailer.
  • You will need to "Activate" some offers through the Upromise website in order to receive cash back from eligible in-store purchases. Activation must be completed prior to in-store purchase. Purchases completed prior to activating with your Registered Card or Upromise Credit Card will not be eligible for cash back.
  • Terms and conditions regarding eligible cash back purchases vary by product and partner. For full offer terms and conditions please refer to the details associated with each promotional offer. For a list of cash back amounts by partner, go to View All Retailers.
  • Your cash back from eligible online and in-store purchases are based on your net purchase price, generally excluding taxes and shipping and handling, as well as any special services such as, including but not limited to, gift wrapping or other services in-store retailers may provide.
  • Due to certain mobile device configurations and/or merchant website tracking limitations, online purchases made with a Upromise partner through a mobile device (phones, tablets, etc.) or in-store purchases made using a mobile device to render payment may not be properly tracked to earn cash back.
  • In general, you will not earn cash back for any portion of your purchase paid for with coupons, store credit, online currency, or gift certificates.
  • Purchases of products, services sold or promoted for resale or commercial use of any kind are not eligible for contributions.
  • Some retailers will not give cash back on purchases made online through the Upromise website or at participating in-store locations if you have also taken advantage of a promotional offer not provided through Upromise when you made the purchase.
  • Purchases made with other companies displayed on an online retailer's site are not eligible for cash back. This is true even if the other company is also a Upromise contributing company.
  • In-store purchases must be made with the specific participating retailer using your Registered Card or Upromise Credit Card in order to be eligible for cash back. This is true even if the third party retailer is also a Upromise contributing company.
  • In general, a purchase charged by telephone will not be credited, unless retailer specifically provides for promotional offer redemption by telephone.
  • While we do our best to track and credit all eligible online and in-store purchases, there are occasions when we are unable to do so. Therefore, please contact Upromise Customer Care if you believe an eligible online or in-store purchase has not been credited to your account within 30 days after you receive that purchase. Please view our when will I see my cash back? page to find out when your cash back should post. *Escalations that are received later than 45 days after the purchase has been made may not be honored by all retailers.
  • While we do our best to track and credit all eligible travel booked online, there are occasions when we are unable to do so. Therefore, please contact Upromise Customer Care if you believe an eligible travel experience has not been credited to your account within 60  days upon completion of that travel.
