What is RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". RSS is way to share and distribute web content that changes regularly.
Who is it for?
RSS is for anyone. It checks several different websites for updates on a regular basis. You can save time by setting up an RSS reader (see below for directions) with RSS feeds from your favorite websites. This makes it possible for you to keep up with your favorite websites by just checking one place--your RSS reader--rather than by checking each individual site separately.
RSS readers can be customized to check for updates every few days - or even turned off completely.
What RSS feeds does Upromise offer?
Upromise uses RSS feeds to publish information about new special offers. To stay on top of the latest Upromise partner deals, you could subscribe to the Upromise Special Offers RSS feed. even mobile applications you can use to browse RSS feeds. There are also
a number of web-based feed readers available. My Yahoo!, Bloglines and
Google Reader
are popular web-based feed readers. From the section above
titled "Upromise RSS Feeds", copy the URL provided and paste it into
your reader. Check your RSS reader for Upromise special offer updates at
your convenience. To take advantage of special offers and get your college
savings, you can shop through the link in the RSS feed as you would through
a link in our emails or on the Upromise site.
