Upcoming changes for the Upromise Grocery program |
|
Starting in March, SavingStar, Inc. will manage the Upromise Grocery eCoupons program on Upromise’s behalf. Here are some of the upcoming changes to the program:
• The program will have expanded features, including streamlined single‐click coupon activation and the ability to view all eCoupons on one page. • With this updated program, you'll now have to visit the Grocery eCoupon site and activate the eCoupon for all the participating products that you want. If you participated in the eCoupons program before, the process hasn’t changed. If you were only earning savings from buying participating products at the store and scanning your grocery card at checkout (without activating a coupon on the Upromise site first), you will now need to visit the Grocery eCoupon site to activate the eCoupon. • There will be some changes in the grocery and drugstores participating in the program. View the lists below to check which retailers near you will be participating after February. • Why did we make these changes? Click Here |
Common questions about the Upromise Grocery changes |
| Why is Upromise using a third-party to manage the Upromise Grocery eCoupons Program?
As of March 2011, SavingStar, Inc. is the company that manages the Upromise Grocery eCoupons Program. SavingStar is led by the same management team that created and oversaw the Upromise Grocery Program since 2001.
All Upromise eCoupon offers are managed by SavingStar. SavingStar is working with participating manufacturers and retailers to increase the number of brands offering eCoupons, as well as the savings value. They are also continually meeting with new manufacturers and retailers to grow the Upromise Grocery eCoupons Program. We are excited about SavingStar’s plans to improve the Upromise eCoupon product.
As of March 2011, in order to earn contributions from manufacturers on participating grocery and drug store purchases through Upromise, you must first select an eCoupon on the Upromise website for each participating product you want. The activation process has been updated to allow for a simplified one-click process. You can no longer earn contributions from manufacturers on participating products in the Upromise Grocery Program without first selecting the eCoupon for that participating product(s).
No. Members are now required to select an eCoupon on the Upromise website in order to earn contributions from manufacturers through the Upromise Grocery eCoupons Program. Participating manufacturers want to reward members who are actively engaged in the Upromise Grocery eCoupons Program, and they are willing to provide greater offer values to active members. Members demonstrate their engagement with the Upromise Grocery eCoupons Program by visiting the Upromise Grocery eCoupons page regularly and selecting the eCoupons that interest them. Upromise credit card holders, however, will still earn 10% on eligible grocery and drug store purchases made with the card without selecting the eCoupon. However, you will not earn the eCoupon contribution from the manufacturer unless the eCoupon is selected before the purchase is made.
There may be other stores near you that are participating. Please scroll down to review the list of participating grocery and drug store chains to see if there is another store near you where you can redeem. If there is no store near you, there are plenty of other ways to save with Upromise. You can shop online, dine out, or get the credit card. Click here to see all of our participating partners who offer savings. Do I need to re-register my frequent shopper cards with Upromise and/or SavingStar? No, the frequent shopper cards registered in your Upromise account will remain in your account as long as the grocery or drug store retailer continues to participate in the Upromise Grocery eCoupons Program. If a retailer leaves but then comes back, you will be required to re-register your cards. Check the website regularly for a current listing of participating grocery and drug store retailers. To earn cash back for college when shopping online, you must make an eligible purchase with a partner through Upromise.com, a Upromise email, or with RewardU(sm) or TurboSaver®.
Product and partner exclusions and limitations to the 5% cash back apply. Go to http://shop.upromise.com/mall/view-all-companies for a list of cash back amounts by partner. You can also click on the 'Store Info' popup when you hover over a partner to see coupons & deals and product exclusions for that partner, if any.
Due to certain mobile device configurations and/or merchant website tracking limitations, online purchases made with a Upromise partner through a mobile device (phones, tablets, etc.) may not be properly tracked to earn cash back.
